June 20, 2007        Juniors

Erika T and Haley B had key hits and McKenna D scored the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning as VFW #7051 rallied for a victory over Optimists.  Haylie H continued to make key defensive plays to keep the game close.

June 19, 2007        Juniors

In the junior division of the GVGS mid-season tournament, VFW 7051 posted a 4-2 record on its way to the consolation championship behind a strong 45 strikeout performance by Amanda M.  Bailey M. added many clutch hits, Emily D. turned in numerous fielding gems, and every girl contributed with timely hits and consistent fielding plays.

June 07, 2007        Juniors

Pups Vs. Water Doctors

The Pups team played into a strong finish after starting rather
sluggishly. Being down 10-0 in the first inning they rallied together
and fought hard to come back and lose by one run in the last inning withbases loaded. Emma G. pitched her first game and showed held strongalong with Leah D. who finished the game on the mound. Tia D. andKendra R. have found their bats and it showed. Also Katy B., AlexandraN., and Emily V. got important hits during our rally.

May 21, 2007        Juniors

In Monday's game against VFW Ruby F. pitched a great game.  Kasey S. got the team fired up with a Grand Slam.  Ashley W. also had a great game at the plate getting on base all three times at bat including a double.  All of the girls played great together as a team to achieve the win.

Pups N Stuff vs. Dairy Queen   W 11 - 8
The Pups defense is improving already.  Kendra and Rachel were steadfast in the middle infield getting the ball to the proper base to get key outs.  Also Sarah and Natalie were resourceful at the plate and got on base each time up.

 

May 20, 2007        Juniors

Opening day the Summer Sluggers were in a tight defensive game with Pups N Stuff.  Kendal W pitched a good game in which the Sluggers pulled it out in the end for the win.  Ruby F. led the way at the plate getting on base all four times at bat.

The Pups played a good defensive game.  Jaclyn kept us in the game with solid pitching for our first game and made an exciting out throwing to Sarah at Third.  The batting was a little spotty but nice strong hits from Caroline, Emma, and Josie.
