The annual Floyd Kalberg Season End Tournament took place over the weekend at Lions Park in Golden Valley.

In the Junior Division VFW Post 7051 took the championship defeating Preferred Sands by a score of 11-7. It was a rematch of the championship game of the midseason tourney,only this time VFW was the victor. Both teams had fine seasons (VFW won the regular season title) and tournaments. Congratulations!

In the Senior Division McDonald's Golden Valley triumphed over regular season champions Reflections Priniting to capture the tournament championship. The teams actually met each other three times over the weekend. McDonald's played solidly to beat Reflections in their Saturday morning meeting. Reflections won the first championship game but had to beat McDonald's twice in order to win in this double elimination tournament. In the final game McDonald's prevailed over a valiant but tired Reflections team to capture the Kalberg championship. It was a hard fought match!

There were also Consolation Champions crowned in each league. The Junior Division Consolation Champs were Reese Orthodontics. In the Senior Division IBEW 292 brought home the trophies. That's a nice way to end the season.

Despite a rain delay Saturday and hot temperatures on Sunday the Floyd Kalberg Season End Tournament was a great success. Many spectators attended each game.
