The 2013 GVGS Midseason Tournament champions were crowned Sunday afternoon at Lions Park in Golden Valley.

In the Senior League, GV Police went on a remarkable run in this tournament considering they just won their first regular season game earlier this week. They charged through pool play and the championship bracket undefeated to claim the title. They even pulled off a triple play in a pool play game for good measure. They beat a very good GV McDonald's squad 12-6 in the championship game. Congratulations!!

On the Junior League circuit Summer Sluggers held off a late charge by Great Photos to win the Midseason Tournament championship by a score of 6-5. They held a 6-2 lead going into the final at bat for Great Photos! Great Photos was able to push across three runs to make it very interesting at the end but came up short giving the title to Summer Sluggers.

We were able to get in every game in the tournament on schedule despite heavy rain that blew in Saturday afternoon.
