The ordering window for extra player shirts and fan shirts is now closed.  These will be distributed with player uniforms the week of May 13th.

Registration for our 2024 season is now closed. Families interested in joining GVGS can request placement on a waiting list by filling out this form or using the link below.  Requests are processed in the order they are received and are accepted through Opening Day (May 18th).  The waiting list remains active until June 1st, and families will be contacted during this period if a spot becomes available on a team.  The registration fee of $150 is due upon assignment to a team with the player starting immediately. 

Golden Valley Girls Softball is for girls interested in a fun, slowpitch softball experience. The league's Junior Division is for girls who currently are in 3rd - 6th grade and the Senior Division is for 7th - 12th graders. Practices begin in late April, with games starting in mid-May.  The season ends in late-July.  Each team is scheduled to play approximately 16-18 regular season games (usually two per week) and two weekend tournaments. Juniors play on Monday/Wednesday nights and Seniors on Tuesday/Thursday nights.

All games and league tournaments are played in Golden Valley in partnership with the Golden Valley Parks and Rec.   In 2024, all regular season games are scheduled at Lions Park (151 Louisiana Ave. N., Golden Valley).

GVGS has been a premier softball league for 50 years, having been founded in 1974.  Our success is based on a philosophy of "the game is for the girls" and a focus on skills, fundamentals and fun. GVGS is recognized as one of the finest slow-pitch leagues in Minnesota.

We welcome girls from ALL CITIES and we have players from many different cities and schools districts, public and private. All participants receive a uniform t-shirt and all girls play in each game.  All girls play, regardless of skill level or past experience.
